Lanvin flats

The most comfortable flats but the downside is that they are expensive. I love shoes, in particular flats. I have been eyeing theses flats for a while including Christian Louboutin. At the decision time, Lanvin won me over due their comfort and almost anonymity of the design. On the other hand, the red bottom soles screams its brand; I wasn't sure if I wanted that much attention.

I have a peculiar foot issue: Most people's toe next to their pinky toe is slightly shorter; however, my fourth toes are as long as the middle toe--won't allow the tapered look. In general, the high end flat are narrow in the front; I've always struggled in breaking them in. Lanvin's supple leather allows my toes to spread and molds perfectly to my odd feet.

To be honest, people have complimented my feet, but they didn't know my struggle with dressy shoes. Now I know that I don't have to settle for less.

Nars Sheer Glow

Ever since I tried to wear foundation, I have had love and hate relationship with foundation in general. In the past, I detested the feeling and the look of foundation on my skin. I always strived for natural look on my skin; the foundations I tried never fully met my expectations until I turned forty.

When I was younger, I broke out easily. I avoided makeup that sank into my skin. Thus, if I needed some coverage, I wore loose or pressed powder to control my oily skin.

I had been on the hunt for the perfect foundation for the winter months; I finally decided on one: Nars Sheer Glow. For the past few weeks, I've tried Face Atelier, Lancome Teint Miracle, Estee Lauder Doublewear Light, and Nars.

As mentioned by other YTers, Nars Sheer Glow gives the wrong impression that it will give you a sheer coverage. "Sheer Glow" refers to the finish of the foundation, not the coverage. The formula is light; however, you can build the coverage up to medium. This foundation is perfect for the winter months because it provides a luminous, silky veil to the skin without looking oily. I can already guess that I will not be able to wear Nars Sheer Glow when the weather warms up because it doesn't control my T-zone area.

I won't say that Nars Sheer Glow is my holy grail yet because I like to experiment and try to base makeup.
