FOTD 11/28/10

Disclaimer--I probably won't FOTD as often during the week days.

Today I am the following products:

Sue Devittet Microaquatic Blue Primer Anti-aging with SPF 35
Face Atelier Ultra Foundation in Honey
Benefit Bronzer in Hoola
Makeup For Ever HD blush--#8
Laura Mercier Peach Mosiac for highlighting
Trish McEvoy Eye base in Bare
Sue Devitt Intensifier Pencil in Gold Reef
MAC shadow in Prized
MAC pigment in Bronzed Blonde
Clinique Cream Liner in True Black
L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black waterproof formula
Serge Luten Matte Lip Pencil (It comes in only one color--nude)
Sue Devitt Lip Gloss--can't read the color but it in bronzey nude

Currently, I am testing out the Face Atelier foundation. I noticed that the finish is beautiful after it warms up on my face; however, when I first put it on it it looks off-color. Perhaps, I am putting too much on: I am still testing out the best application. It is medium to full coverage. I am in between two colors, Honey and Tan. Honey is a tad too light; tan a little orangey. Even though it is oil-free, it does not control oil. If you decide to get this foundation and your have combination skin, have your pressed powder or blotting paper ready. The stay power is unbelievable! Even with the oiliness, it stayed on pretty much the whole day.

I am loving Sue Devitt Intensifier Pencils. In the photo, the color of Gold Reef isn't showing through because I created a smokey look with Clinique eyeliner. Originally, I created a wing-tipped lines but I didn't like them. Instead of starting over, I smudged the black tips and created a smokey eye look.

Makeup Forever HD cream blush!!! Finally, I got the chance to try this one. I received a sample with my Sephora bonus points. This gift is available for 100 points in my city. This product is highly pigmented, so don't be trigger happy. Gently push down on the pump--barely half way down. I'll keep you posted on the wear.

Bye for now!!!

I got dolled up for my husband birthday. We went to one of our favorite restaurants in the city. The Italian restaurant is in a quaint two story building owned by Italian-- it is a family owned restaurant.

We started our dinner with a small plate of tasty pickled green and black olives along with chewy baguette. Of course, the bread was slathered with butter. Mmmmm. I could live on bread and butter! Then, we gobbled up fried calamari with marinara sauce. This place knows how to fry calamari because the meat was tender and juicy. My husband had some type of a rabbit dish in Madera sauce; I had pasta with lobster, shrimp, and scallop. Heavenly.....

It wasn't over yet. The waiter overheard that it was my husband's birthday; she brought us cappucino ice cream pie. To warm up, I had a cup of cappucino; my husband a cup of machiato.

The night was punctuated with great conversation and interesting people. The tables were close in proximity due to the size of the restaurant, so we overheard some eye raising conversations. It reminded me of European restaurants.

The best pasta dish I ever had was in Cinque Terre, Italy. Lovely evening!
